New...8 Ball Tournamant Wednesdays
People keep asking me to run an 8-ball tournament, well here
it is.
Starting this Wednesday (Feb 8th) we will be running a new 8-Ball
tournament at Gate City Billiards Club. Each player will play only one rack
against their opponent. Then they will play a different player. Your skill
level will determine how many times you can lose. You are eliminated when your
losses equal 10 minus your skill level.
A skill level 7 is eliminated
after 3 losses
A skill level 6 is eliminated after 4 losses
A skill
level 5 is eliminated after 5 losses
Etc...etc.
Entry fee is
$15
Tournament starts at 8:00, registration at 7:00
APA 8-ball
handicaps will be used to start with but will be moved at our discretion there
after
100% payout of entry fees (no greens fees)
Number of
positions paid will be based on the size of the field

Every Friday
Format: Modified Elimination Short Race 8 Ball Winners Side 9 Ball Losers Side
Handicaps: APA (Higher of 8 Ball and 9 Ball Handicap) owner discretion if you have neither. Owner also reserves the right to change handicaps before during or after tournaments.
Race: 1 game for Combined 6 and below; 2 games for 7's & 8's and 3 games for 9's & 10's and 4 games for 11's & 12's.
Rules: APA Rules.
Start Time: 7:00 Registration, Tournament 8:00 promptly.
Entry Fee: $20 (no greens fee)
Payout: 100% payout of entry fee. The number of players paid will be determined based on the size of the field.
